Project Management

At Micromount, as project managers in the construction industry, we undertake a meticulously planned series of activities, tailored to align with our customers' requirements from the outset. Our approach encompasses comprehensive planning, coordination, monitoring, and control of a project from inception to completion. This ensures the delivery of a functionally and financially viable project, completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Our Project Management services at Micromount are structured into three key stages.

  1. Pre-Construction Management

Upon initiating a project, Micromount develops a comprehensive roadmap, taking full ownership from its inception. This phase involves advising, monitoring, and reporting on all pre-construction activities. We begin by crafting a project execution plan that outlines cost, time, and quality objectives, alongside the systems and procedures to achieve them. The goal of pre-construction is to enhance efficiency, reduce time and costs through clear briefings, pre-planning meetings, workshops, and optimal resource allocation, while maximizing value through effective supply chain management, timely decision-making, and proactive operations.

    Phases of Pre-Construction Management:

    • Project definition
    • Project administration
    • Appointment of architect and consultants
    • Design management & coordination
    • Procurement management/Tender and Bid management
    • Planning management/Forecasting management
    • Cost management
    • Risk management
    • Value management
  2. Construction & Installation Management

Micromount begins construction management during the preliminary design phase, establishing project planning milestones, developing construction concepts, and preparing the overall plan. As part of our consultancy, we develop a construction management strategy, procedures, and manuals, overseeing the supervision teams of general contractors and subcontractors on-site. This includes monitoring established processes and conducting periodic quality checks.

Acting as Client Representative, Micromount advocates for clients' interests in interactions with contractors, major subcontractors, and consultants. During the construction phase, tasks include constructability and cost-saving reviews, managing design changes, and ensuring environmental compliance. Implementation of the construction plan by the Project Construction Manager involves day-to-day communication and coordination with contractors.

Phases of Construction & Installation Management

    • Appointment of contractors
    • Planning management/Forecasting Management
    • Cost management
    • Site management
    • Quality control
    • Environment, Health & Safety management
    • Co-ordination with client, architect, and other consultants
  3. Post Construction Management

In our post-construction management services, Micromount ensures a controlled and disciplined handover of the project to the client. We coordinate the handover of all documents, including as-built drawings and approved operation & maintenance manuals from contractors/vendors.

    Phases of Post Construction Management

    • Package closure – technical & commercial
    • Final cost report
    • Coordination for handover – documents including as-built drawings, operation & maintenance manuals
